!! I did this for my husband 3 years ago tomorrow for our wedding! it even turned out to be 52 things with the tag line “hundreds more to come”. it lives in his bedside table. That’s amazing that someone’s had the same idea :)
Emma | Emmaline Bride November 15, 2012 - 12:57 pm

This is so cute! I would make this for my guy. It’s cute and sentimental. It means more because it’s something you made with your hands. Also, it’s something your future family can look back on.

I did something similar when I was getting married. I dicut 100 pink hearts and wrote one thing I love about my husband on each one. Then 100 days out from the wedding I would hide a heart each day. He loved it!

Any suggestions on where to purchase the binder rings?
EmmalineBride May 4, 2012 - 12:01 am
Hi Mariah,
What a great idea! Your mom will love it. You can buy the binder rings at any office supply store, like Office Max or Staples.
Happy Crafting!

Karen January 5, 2012 - 6:28 am
I absolutely LOVE this idea!!! So easy and so personal!
Tori January 3, 2012 - 2:27 am
I made one of these for my fiancee this past Christmas and he loved it! He had proposed a week or so before Christmas and we had decided not to do big gifts this year. It was the most inexpensive thing in his stocking, but after reading through them, he started to well up. It was awesome! I wrote mine on paper by hand and then glued them on. I also added little sketches and cut the paper in shapes that went along with the “reason” that was on the card. I spent $3 and 4 hours, and I couldn’t have asked for a better reaction.
EmmalineBride January 3, 2012 - 2:32 am
Tori,
That’s awesome! I’m sure your fiancee loved his gift. It’s true, handmade gift are always the most appreciated. I bet it was fun to craft, too!
Thank you for stopping by and sharing your story!

This is adorable and such a great idea! I think I am going to do this or something similar. Instead of doing the scrabble pieces I might do poker chips with our initials on them.

This is a perfect first “paper” wedding anniversary present! Thank you!
Sam August 9, 2011 - 3:35 am
SO glad I found this. My boyfriend LOVES creative, home-made gifts and his birthday just past so I have been looking for new things that aren’t too girly. Now I know it’s directed towards a “spouse-to-be” but it’s our one year in december and I am a perfectionist SO this is the perfect project for me to do and have done AND to my liking by december. THANK YOU for thinking of this. (found via StumbleUpon haha) You are awesome. xox

About to get married (I’ll be the groom), looking for small little things to add charm. Something like this may be it. Our wedding is kind of contemporary country themed. I don’t know if the playing cards/scrabble pieces are the right aspects but I love the ___ things I love about you in a small booklet style…
(P.S. So happy I found your site via StumbleUpon)
