There is no shortage of list out there with motivational quotes to inspire us to succeed or think differently about our lives. It is a simple as setting out a Google search to see that.
So what's the point of me creating one then, you might ask?
Well, I'd like a list of my own quotes, ones that resonate with me, and potentially with you too. I have the hopes that this compilation of motivational quotes will help shift your thought patterns, and something inside you may click and you'll be inspired to take action on that long awaited something.
I have for ages believed, no matter what the naysayers say, that reading motivational snippet's or quotes, especially at the beginning of your day, can help guide your otherwise unmotivated thought patterns in a positive direction.
It's worth throwing in at this point, though, motivational quotes or readings are great to get you in a better state of mind, but it's taking action that matters most.
Whether you want to start a website or blog, new eating habit, make more money, ask that cute girl or guy out on a date, or anything else that you feel will bring positive change to your life, it’s the action you take that makes the difference, not the thinking or my case (and maybe yours), overthinking.
Also, worth throwing in, is knowing and making peace with the fact that anything of any value was never gained by the easy road - but is all the worth having been taken.
As Eddie Harris said:
The sooner you step away from your comfort zone, the sooner you’ll realize that it wasn’t really all that comfortable.
Marcus Aurelius put it best inMeditations, where he said:
You have power over your mind - not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.
So I combed the Internet and took a thousand hours (kidding, not that many)to add and share my top 123+ favorite quotes to live by with you. Ihope you see these as more than just motivational and inspiring quotes, but profound, somewhat mind-altering words to shift your perspective on things you may have been pondering.

What are your favorite inspirational quotes?
Most of us, no doubt, have one or two (or maybe more) quotes or sayings that stick with us. Ones that get stuck somewhere in our cerebral and manage to alter the way we see things, totally shifting our beliefs or perspectives and changed the way we had maybe seen something before that moment.
One quote which hits me in the throat, which relates to this very blog and my journey to the point, by one of my favourite authors of all time, Roald Dahl, goes like this:
‘Well, maybe it started that way. As a dream, but doesn’t everything? Those buildings. These lights. This whole city. Somebody had to dream about it first. And maybe that is what I did. I dreamed about coming here, but then I did it.’ –James and the Giant Peach
Have you had your own James and the Giant Peach moment? If anything, I do hope this helps that neocortex going.
